Nick Davies

Nick Davies is an actor-turned-writer from Wellington, New Zealand, who has appeared internationally in both film and TV, and in the theatre. In his early 20s, he wrote a number of short plays and films, until at the age of 27 he hightailed it out of New Zealand, and hopped aboard a flight to the Americas. He subsequently wrote a popular collection of travel stories entitled The Lost Gringo Chronicles recording both his adventures and misadventures around Colombia, Brazil, and Mexico. As a freelance journalist, he has worked for The Dominion Post and other travel publications.

El Flamingo is his debut novel, an escapist sunset-noir set across Mexico and Colombia. The novel follows the journey of Lou Galloway, a failed actor who is fatalistically mistaken for an enigmatic assassin named 'El Flamingo', and forced to assume his identity to survive.

It's a tale he sure hopes you enjoy.

When not in his homeland, Nick can be found somewhere in Latin America, sipping a coffee, chasing a sunset, always on the search for a story to tell.
