Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts, in 1970, finished a supposedly good education and went to count bricks for a quantity surveying firm. Within a year, he found an art college he could go to and then drop out of, after which he wandered the earth seeking enlightenment, getting as far as San Francisco, Mexico City and Hull.

He earned money driving vans, taxis and trucks, and patching up dilapidated vehicles, finding time to get a degree in psychology and an M.Sc. in information technology, after which he became a driving instructor. He built a car in which he could go motor racing, in 2002.

He started writing in about 1972 and remembered to complete a book in 2018.
