Shirley Siaton

Shirley Siaton writes edgy and evocative stories, perpetually fueled by coffee and the music of Evanescence. The Spice Queen of Philippine literature, her worlds are in a deliciously dark cross-section of the neo-noir, action, contemporary, sci-fi, and fantasy genres. Her background in various Asian martial arts inspires a lot of her work.

Her first book is the collection 'Black Cat and other poems,' while 'Befallen' (of the monster romance series 'Love All Else') is her first full-length novel. She also writes for younger audiences, in MG as Shirley Parabia (starting with 'Fire of Courage' of the 'Fire and Tide' series) and YA as Shirley Siaton Parabia (starting with the romantasy 'My Only Midnight'). She collaborates with her daughter, Arya (starting with the MG paranormal 'A Girl and her Monster'), and her husband, Peter (starting with the YA fantasy 'River Meets the Sun').

She is a black belt in Shotokan Karate, a Wushu grad, a powerlifter, and an international certified fitness coach. She is based in the Middle East with her husband and two daughters. She is @shirleysiaton on socials.
