Pepper Schwartz

Pepper Schwartz is a well-known author, sexologist, and sociologist who is an emeritus Professor at the University of Washington and is the author of over 26 books, several of which have been New York Times Best Sellers. Her latest book with Dr. Jessica Griffin, Relationship Rx, focus on practical exercises for common relationship problems.

She is now in her seventeenth season of being a Relationship Expert on the television show, Married At First Sight (available on Lifetime TV, Netflix, and Prime Video).

She is also the past president of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexualities and has been given several awards including for public understanding of sociology from the American Sociological Association and the Simon-Gagnon Award for excellence in research on human sexuality.

Pepper served as the Ambassador for Love and Relationships at AARP for over a decade.

In 2022, the University of Minnesota Medical School and Institute on Gender and Sexuality created the Pepper Schwartz Professorship on Sexuality and Aging.

Pepper currently writes a column for Seattle Magazine on "whatever she feels like."
