Jennifer Hutton, PT, DPT is a pediatric physical therapist and has worked with children of all ages and different abilities. From little kids needing assistance learning to take their first steps to teenage athletes recovering from injuries, she found that the common thread was finding ways to help children connect their minds and bodies to explore the strength and resilience that lies within each of them. Jennifer has been featured in Nashville Parent Magazine, contributed to articles in Nashville Fit Magazine and Washington Post, and has been on multiple podcasts speaking on both pediatric-related topics and antiracism and allyship in healthcare.
Working with children from marginalized communities allowed Dr. Hutton to see the health and healthcare access disparities that existed and sparked her desire to be an advocate for recreational opportunities outside of the clinic. Jennifer’s desire is for children to find ways to use their imagination and find joy and fun in being active without the use of toys, tools, or technology. She wants all children of all backgrounds and abilities to learn the different ways that they can enjoy movement.
