Misty winter mornings, the beaches of the Puget Sound, and colorful native rhododendrons that dot the spring landscape are the things that author and Pacific NW native Danielle Lord loves about Washington State.

Danielle studies what it feels like to live and work inside systems that slowly wear people down. As a qualitative researcher focused on workplace trauma and Cumulative Workplace Distress, she translates lived experience into practical tools that help leaders build healthier, more human organizations.

Passionate about leadership and bringing compassion through leadership to organizations of all sizes. Our organizations have existed in an outdated managerial paradigm for too long, and with it comes the limiting beliefs and mindsets that stifle creativity and kindness. We can do better for our team members.

With 30+ years of experience in the field of organizational development, Danielle has seen a remarkable transformation through leadership development. She has designed, developed, implemented, and managed Leadership Development at the enterprise level for Providence Health and Services, the State of Washington, and the Port of Seattle. She is the founder and Principal of Archetype Learning Solutions and HelixMD, helping organizations create healthier cultures for happier employees.

Recognized for her contributions by Gov Gary Locke (2003) and Senator Maria Cantwell (2004) for innovative work in healthcare development; Outstanding Faculty Brandman University (2014), Governors innovation award for Leadership Development (2017) and Woman’s Outstanding Achievement Award (2020): Leadership Development. Danielle has a passion for innovation and continues to look for unique ways for employees to excel in organizations and earned a PhD in Leadership Theory (2007).

A self-described Chinaphile and Jasperware junkie, Danielle is a partner in a Vintage Rental company and a lifestyle blogger featuring beautiful tables. She lives in the Puget Sound area with her husband Stephen where they enjoy gardening, antiquing, and wine.
