Adam Brett

Adam (he/him) is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Derby with research interests including LGBT+, SEND, and diversity and inclusion.

A secondary teacher and leader for 15 years, Adam is passionate that education should be accessible and inclusive for everyone.

After completing his Doctorate in Education, Adam created Pride & Progress alongside his friend and colleague, Jo Brassington (they/them). Beginning as a podcast to amplify the voices of LGBT+ educators, Pride & Progress has now grown into a network to support educators and schools to become more LGBT+ inclusive spaces, including training, consultancy, teacher networks, as well as the book 'Pride & Progress: Making Schools LGBT+ Inclusive Spaces'.
