ALYSON MORGAN is the author of Our Kindred Home and the human behind the instagram account @alysonsimplygrows where she shares her journey to simple and slow folk living. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in International Relations with an emphasis on Climate, Natural Resources and Global health nurturing her concern for the well being of people and the earth, and finds these to be intimately connected. After moving from her native California to the Midwest, she found healing in living with the seasons and learning to grow plants for food + medicine in her garden. Starting her online apothecary, Earth Star Herbals, to help others rekindle their connection to earth and season. When she’s not caring for her two children, tending to the garden, or herding her flock of chickens, she and her husband AJ are building a home in the heart of the Driftless and learning each day how to become better stewards of the earth.
