Sara's childhood was filled with stories. Many of her earliest memories involve sitting on her Dad's lap, a big cuddle and story after story about the adventures on Princess Sara Jayne and her little white horse, Dobbin!
Sadly, Sara's Dad's health failed just after she graduated. So when he own two "princes" came along she was determined to create stories for them. Very soon, bedtimes, walks in the park, trips in the car.... turned into an opportunity to add another chapter to the Prince Reuben and Harrison stories.
As Sara became a parent, she also become the chair of charity that helps dis-advantaged children and those needing mental health support. Through this time she saw, first hand, how important it is that children develop strong mental health foundations. Stories, she believes are pivotal in this and very soon she was weaving positive core beliefs and strategies to support mental health into her own children's stories. Wanting to help more than her own children, her first mental health children's book, Freddy Counts to Zen was born.
