Yasiris Ortiz Mejia

Yasiris Ortiz is the founder and CEO of Spin&Learn. After more than 12 years of experience and playing professional table tennis, Ms. Ortiz created Spin&Learn. Her table tennis program is designed to motivate students in the public and private schools’ sector to become professional table tennis players.

Ms. Ortiz was born and raised in the Dominican Republic where she started her table tennis career at a young age. She has won multiple medals including the Women’s Caribbean championship title in 2018. She came to the US in 2016 with the goal of introducing table tennis into all NYC schools. Today Ms. Ortiz lives in NYC and is an active professional table tennis player, coach, community service leader and motivational speaker.
