E.G. Alaraj

E.G. Alaraj is a writer of fiction and nonfiction for children. When Stars Arise, illustrated by Martyna Czub, was published by Orca Book Publishers in 2023. The rhyming, bedtime board book received a Kirkus Star and was shortlisted for the BC and Yukon Book Prizes. My Language Is a Garden, illustrated by Rachel Wada, is a forthcoming title with Orca Book Publishers (2026). Alaraj has written numerous titles for the educational market. Prior to becoming an author, she worked as an Academic English Instructor for newcomers. She holds a BA in English Literature and several language teaching certificates.
