Author, Nancy Risher Mott, is a writer and artist. In April 2022 she was named “Best Double-Barrel Talent in Story Telling and Art,” by Roger Williams, a staff writer for Florida Weekly Magazine, Lee County Edition. She compiled the book, LaBelle, Early Settlers. She has also published a children’s story, Sarah And The Octopus, published in Cricket Magazine and several historical short stories published in Back Porch Magazine and Abaco Life Magazine.
Her first book, Barefoot in Southwest Florida, was published on Amazon in 2023.
Her family, the Hill/Aikens were honored as the pioneer family of LaBelle in 1980.
Nancy and her husband, Elmer raised four children, Cynthia, Beverly, Fraya and Thomas, have eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Elmer and Nancy are retired and live on their cattle ranch in Arcadia, Florida.
