D.B. Cooper was born in Oxfordshire. After an extraordinarily normal upbringing, he read Computer Science and Technology at Cambridge University before joining the Royal Marines, rising to the rank of Major. As a full-time intelligence and security liaison officer he found himself regularly operating at the intersection between the military, the security services, and the emerging computer technology business.
On leaving the military he developed cryptographic software for a number of international financial institutions where he gained a deep insight into how business and technology can unite to foil organised and disorganised crime.
Latterly, he has grown his own technology business to a point where he now has commercial, security, and military clients on almost every continent.
Raised a Catholic, he lapsed many years ago, but he keeps a keen interest, and an eternal optimism, for Church betterment.
Married for over thirty years, and with a growing family, he now resides on the South Coast of England where he pursues his many interests.
He has never knowingly parachuted from a commercial airliner.
