Biography of the author JEAN LUC ANGRAND

YEAR 2006

Jean Luc Angrand is an author specializing in art history and colonial history. On November 21, 2006, Jean-Luc Angrand received the Robert Cornevin Prize from the Académie des Sciences d'Outremer for his book "Céleste ou le temps des signares," which was published three months earlier.

In 2011, he published a book on decoding hidden symbols in Sandro Botticelli's "Les quatre mythologies." Both books were primarily aimed at scholars.

YEAR 2023

In 2023, he released five books for a wide audience in the field of Italian Renaissance painting, targeting those who wish to understand the hidden codes in this art.

The first two books, "Decodage suite" (in two volumes), decipher the esoteric symbols hidden by painters such as Botticelli, Dürer, Giorgione, Michelangelo, Piero della Francesca, Titian, Velázquez, and Rembrandt.

The third book, "Ultime blasphème," exclusively decodes the works of the genius Leonardo da Vinci, explaining the most famous works through hidden alchemical codes and the heresies they contain.

Also in 2023, a book is published on the development of painting from the French Revolution to the 20th century, which led to two currents: bourgeois painting and populist (communist) painting.

In the book "La révolution bourgeoise dans l'art," we encounter artists such as David, Goya, Delacroix, Géricault, Courbet, Millet, Van Gogh, Redon, Monet, Picasso, César Baldacchini, and others. It also includes significant historical figures such as Victor Hugo, the Goncourt brothers, Charles de Gaulle, and many others through their quotations. A mix of quotes from prominent political and philosophical figures, combined with the works of famous painters, creates a captivating blend.

In 2023, the book "L’art raconté crument" is also released, describing candidly the humorous, sometimes unsettling side of great painters from the 19th and 20th centuries. Painters such as Auguste Renoir, James Tissot, Degas, Manet, Picasso, Bacon, and others are psychologically analyzed for better or worse.

All of these books will be released in both digital and print formats in 2023.
