Briane Willis writes poetry, fiction, and nonfiction from her homestead in the Texas Hill Country.

"Written in Leaves," a queer romance set in 1820 Paris, France, is her first novel. The second edition, which includes four brand-new chapters and a connected novella, was released in 2025. Her collection of short stories inspired by fairy tales and fantasy, entitled "A Mythology Woven," explores darkness, hope, and healing. Her science fiction collection, "An Alignment of Celestial Bodies," delves into madness, seduction, isolation, and connection across the universe. "A Recollection of Murmurs" includes four mythology-inspired novellas; "By Your Eyes" and "Each Path a Red Thread," investigate the burden of being called a monster, and the profound relief of acceptance.
