Mark Pennell, a native of North Carolina, with deep family roots that go back to the 1700 hundreds. From early childhood, he was brought up in a family of a strong Christian faith. The youngest of three boys, Mark enjoyed the carefree life of rural America. When a kid could run and play from sun-up to sun-down without worry. He grew to love the outdoors, be it with his childhood friends or his trusted dog. From camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway to hiking her trails under a canopy of scarlet and gold, Mark loved the outdoors in still does to this day.
Mark now has a family of his own, a husband and father to seven wonderful adult sons and daughters. Plus he has also been blessed with seven grandkids. An active member of his community and church, part owner of a crime & trauma cleaning company. When those activities are not taking his time he would be found taking his two dogs for a walk.
This is Marks first book, "Into the Fog of Charon" came to him in a dream that spanned three nights, from there he wrote it down in a note book, after which he just forgot about it, fast forward to the Covid lock down when he decided to rewrite the story. Adding to the original manuscript, he then asked a couple of his friends to read it with their honest opinion to take it to the next step he was able to get another friend to help with wording, along with some editing, until he felt it was polish enough to send it out to the public. The main character is in honor of his childhood friend who passed away at a young age.
His dream is that you enjoy his story, perhaps even learn a thing or two, but mostly to remember how precious and fragile life is. Maybe even how to enjoy life, to care about your those around you, those you met in this journey we call life.
Look for his next book, where Jim and Danielle along with Kim and Quincy find what the Cube and CD does once they are placed together.
