Donna Scobee Scott grew up on a cattle ranch in Big Horn County, Montana. Growing up, she helped with the household chores, fed chickens, gathered eggs and watched her father milk the cow and break horses. They made their own butter and ice cream. Her parents butchered their own beef. When Donna was in high school, she helped her mother research their family tree.
After graduating from Eastern Montana College, Donna had a career as a CPA. She raised her three children in Montana and retired there. In retirement, her attention returned to her hobby of researching her family history. Donna is not a professional genealogist, but wanted to tell the story of the two ancestors she most admired. The book, Hannah's Legacy, is an historical fiction account of the life of Donna's great-grandmother, Tennie Shelby Bradley Newsom, and her grandmother, Hannah Allen Lowder McWhorter. Donna and her husband enjoy traveling. They have traveled to most of the places Hannah and Tennie lived.
Donna currently lives in Montana part of the year and in Arizona part of the year. She still enjoys discovering her family history.
