Before becoming a serious writer, Carole was a therapist working for the NHS and then privately in mental health. Not long after this, her Mother fell ill with a series of mini-strokes. Taking care of her mother meant giving up her career, and when she could sneak those little times for herself, her passion for writing started taking off.
