Hey, My name is Stephen A Ireland (He/Him) and I am a homosexual male from Surrey, UK.

Growing up in the UK under the shadows of ;section 28; being a Gay man wasn't all glitter and the Spice Girls, in fact it was rather confusing as there were no real LGBTQ+ role models that I could relate to.

Through the years it has got easier and will continue to get easier thanks to the LGBTQ+ activists around the world that call for positive change in equality and inclusion.

For many years I wanted to be that person, that person who could do something positive for people and feel good about it. I was inspired by history and people around the world so much so, I founded Pride in Surrey.

Now after 4 successful Pride events, 2 touring Pride events known as 'Pride on the road', and a physical sober safe space in Surrey known as the 'Pride hub', I thought I'd try something new. So, fulfilling a life long dream of publishing my own book I thought I'd see what I could do in the world of literature to inspire others.

Remember, Pride is a protest and whoever you are, however you define; YOU ARE VALID and you are never alone.
