Jack Léon Mackey was born on 28/09/1992 in Shephards bush, London. Originally a musician, Jack decided to write about his experiences in alcohol addiction, after leaving rehab in 2019. Jack was a resident at Kenward Trust rehab from oct 2019 to January 2020. Soon after leaving rehab and joining their “Move on” programme (a supported housing living situation after rehab) , lockdown started. During this time, Jack decided to write “delirium”. Jack wanted to let other addicts know that they aren’t alone and to share information about his journey, detailing the process of getting the help needed. Jack also wanted to raise awareness of the side affects of alcohol dependency, including delirium tremens, which he and his family were oblivious of until it was too late.
Jack now lives in Tunbridge wells, has been sober for 5 years, and is currently writing his second book.
