David Weeks

David Weeks was born in Hornchurch, Essex, from a family of EastEnders, and was originally a graphic designer before working with adults and children with disabilities for 25 years. Now David works in the homelessness and substance misuse sector.

David began writing as a hobby for magazines such as Martial Arts Illustrated and Combat, when running several martial arts clubs in East London, before producing his first book 'Tyson and I: Anger and Addictions', a biography of the iconic former heavyweight champ.

This was followed by the true crime biography of East End gangster Henry 'Buller' Ward titled 'Bullets, Blood and Broken Bodies'. Other books include: 'Essence of a Man: a study in male violence'; the fans-eye view of West Ham United's history 'And On The 6th Day God Created Bobby Moore'; the story of abuse and violence suffered by a woman in both London and Barbados' - Hell is in Paradise'; the painful study of addiction 'Agony and Ecstasy'; 'Vexed Spirits: the madness of the Kray Twins', a novel based on the unhinged gangster brothers lives and exploits; another true crime biography 'Burning Bad', which follows the life and crimes of a Polish drug dealer, and most recently the exploration of life in Britain's prisons 'Spice Boys'.

David now lives with his wife Yvonne and German Shepherd Amy, in South Wales.
