My name is Dr. Claudia Martial, and I am a Nurse Practitioner by profession. I have two grown daughters. Before I became a nurse, I worked as a teacher and owned a daycare for many years. We live in a constantly changing world, and teaching children coping skills is essential. So, I write my stories in fun, unique ways to help parents and caregivers teach children how to cope when things change in their lives.
More about the Author and her new book, Resiliency in Nursing Practice
I graduated from nursing school in 2006 with my Associate’s degree, passed my NCLEX, and received my RN license. I was sworn in as an Army nurse the following year because I really wanted to work with wounded soldiers. It took several years before I could continue my education, and in 2016, I graduated with my Master’s degree and earned my Nurse Practitioner license. And in 2020, I graduated with my Doctoral degree in nursing practice. My doctoral studies led me to explore the concept of resiliency in nursing practice. With this in mind, I felt compelled to publish my book, Building Resiliency in Nursing Practice. The first two years after graduating from nursing school, I worked the night shift. During that time, 20 years ago, I started writing stories to share with the nurses on the unit. I am now sharing these stories with all nurses. They are light, fun stories meant to entertain and prompt a moment of thought.
