Carley Smith

Carley Smith is the mother to the amazing twins who inspired her debut children's book, We Do Things Differently, and That's More Fun! They opened her eyes to the beauty of neurodiversity and quickly changed her passion from teaching to advocacy. She started Lovely Dreams Publishing to share stories that would introduce neurodiversity to young children everywhere, opening their hearts to inclusion.

When not writing herself, she spends time mentoring authors with similar goals and helping them on their path toward publication. In her personal life, Carley enjoys traveling with her children and husband, Joe, who serves in the U.S. Army. She is an active volunteer who strives to help families connect and enjoy the military lifestyle.
