Kristine Haws

Kristine Haws is an author and grandparent who saw a gap in dyslexic and intermediate reading materials. When her 9 year old granddaughter, Kambria, received interventions and tutoring to master decodable books, she noticed that there was nothing to bridge the gap between those decodable books and chapter books that also had engaging stories. In response, she started writing the "Fred" series of books to help fill that gap. Her mission is to create intermediate reader and dyslexia-friendly materials with interesting stories for early readers.
