J. D. Magnetra

JD Magnetra is the spicy alter ego for author Jamie Dalton.

A woman who grew up in the mountains of Oregon and Idaho and settled down with her introverted prince charming and their book loving toddler in North Carolina. Although JD Magnetra is not her first alter ego (James Blonde, Sky, and Magnetra are all names given to me by now loved family, coworkers and social media) it is one that she enjoys exploring.

She's had a lifelong love affair with mint chocolate truffle cake, crispy chicken bites, all forms of pasta, deviled eggs... and now I'm hungry. Perhaps this is a little part of why all of her books have at least one recipe from within the story included in the back pages. She grew up dreaming of that perfect chocolate cake that Matilda helped eat. Of the feasts from the Lord of the Rings and the picnics in every single Jane Austen book. So she figured why not include a little sneak peek into how she viewed the worlds she created so readers could see, feel and taste it too! Promise, there will never be any olives. Olives are disgusting.

Ever since the first time she could read The Berenstian Bears and the Messy Room, she has loved books. Fantasy, romance, science fiction, biographies, historical... in all honestly most books she enjoys. Well, other than thriller and horror which is sort of funny considering that her first book published was listed by Amazon as fantasy horror. A category she quickly remedied considering she is easily scared and can't even handle watching Alice in Wonderland or the end of The Little Mermaid.
