LAURENT FRANCOIS

Laurent François is a specialist in social media and serves as a leader in an advertising agency. He hosts a weekly newsletter centered around his essay: Alive In Social Media.

He guides brands, especially luxury ones, in their communication and creative strategies. As early as 2007, he established the first specialized unit in digital influence in Europe for Ogilvy. After a stint at French newsmagazine L'Express, where he created a department dedicated to monetizing online communities beyond traditional advertising models, he moved to London and collaborated with Havas, JWT. Later, he co-founded his own creative agency, RE-UP, which is now part of 180 agency (Omnicom group).

Laurent François is the Managing Partner for 180 agency, where he oversees creative strategies, social media strategies and digital innovation (augmented reality, AI, etc.).

He frequently contributes to media discussions (New York Times, Vogue Business, Forbes...) on identity issues in the digital age and teaches at business schools, fashion and design schools.

He holds degrees from ESCP and Sciences Po Lyon.
