Dr. Shelley Viola Murphy

Dr. Murphy, currently working in various communities as a genealogy researcher and coordinator of genealogy education, she served over 20 years as a HUD Housing Counselor. She hails with extensive experience providing housing counseling services in the states of Florida and Virginia. As a Housing Counselor she provided counseling and education services to those seeking rental housing, home buying assistance, foreclosure prevention, and landlord/tenant disputes. She was also involved with fair housing and housing discrimination issues. She has a deep understanding of the complex issues surrounding housing discrimination and continues to be committed to working towards creating a more equitable and inclusive society.
