Jon Fraser King

Jon Fraser King is a former broadcaster and producer on BBC Local Radio.

He is the founder of the Shrewsbury Darwin Festival and directed the dual celebrations for the bicentenary and 150th anniversary of the publication of The Origin of Species that were held in Shrewsbury in 2009.

He represented Shrewsbury on the Darwin200 group of prestigious museums, universities and trusts and in 2007, spoke at Stanford University’s Darwin Day and the annual convention of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in San Francisco.

The author still leads a birthday toast and guided walk on the 12th of February each year in Shrewsbury.
