Ms Diane M Simpson

Diane Simpson writes magical stories with imaginary places, and unusual characters. Her books have a unique quality as she has chosen to illustrate them herself. Using acrylic paints, markers and pens she brings lively images to her books. Her whimsical drawings add a unique style. Diane wants to encourage reading and creativity through children’s books. She has several short stories published and is working on her second children's book.

She grew up on a small farm in Kent County, Ontario near the town of Blenheim. Surrounded by nature in her youth, she draws on her own childhood to create stories. Her grandmother was an artist and kept her grandchildren busy with crafts and paints.

Currently, Diane lives in the small town of West Lorne where she writes stories, paints creatures, tends gardens and spoils her dog.
