Chris Hart

Retired Computer Engineer and Lecturer. Born, travelled, and now returned to, the North East of England. A long time passion for reading Sci-Fi led me to a career in (B)leading edge technology. Family man with daughters who, inevitably, formed the backbone of my first protagonist, Molly.

I often wrote short stories, when my muse was with me, but never had the time to make anything of it. Since becoming an author, I've taken up the challenge and have tried to produce at least one book per year.

Molly and Corry were developed as a fun way to introduce children to the key concepts of computing. I got fed up of not having a basic text to recommend to put the ideas and tech in context, so I wrote one (well actually four). Science, Maths and English have loads. I think I was jealous. The first two books provide an introduction to the key points of the GCSE curriculum.

I'm writing more mature, pure Sci-Fi and Fantasy Books (Not yet appearing in the same book). These hark back to my favourite authors, Asimov and Robert E. Howard, updated by David Gemmell.

I recently published "Heroes and Dragons". Eight short stories, for some unknown reason, written in rhyme. I received a request to include more Dragons and decided that these stories were ideal for performing in the old bardic tradition.

Writing the sequel to Gravity of the Divine (Gangsters who think they're Gods) and I have another Molly and Corry planned too.
