Charles E Chumley

Charles E. Chumley spent more than thirty years in leadership development, coaching executives across four continents before the sand got his full attention.

He is the author of the Paintbrush pickleball series for young readers, including Paintbrush Discovers Pickleball and Paintbrush Learns Pickle-Fu, which teach the game and its lessons to children in a way that embarrasses most adult coaching manuals. He has also created coloring books for the same audience, because not every lesson needs words.

He is a stand-up comedian of considerable mileage, having performed in rooms ranging from encouraging to catastrophic, and a sandcastle builder whose work has stopped traffic on two continents. Keep Building is his first book for grown-ups.

He has been married for thirty-four years to a woman who is quietly funnier than he is. She has been patient about most of this.

When not in Roswell, Georgia, you will find him on the beaches of Playa del Carmen, Mexico or Gulf Shores, Alabama, building something that did not exist an hour earlier and will not survive the tide.

He still coaches a handful of executives who ask nicely.
