Shawn Fraine

Shawn Fraine is a queer writer, creator, and former clinical psychology Ph.D. student who left academia to build something more human. With a master’s degree in clinical psychology and years of research focused on LGBTQ+ trauma and identity, Shawn now uses storytelling, both fictional and personal, as a way to make sense of the spaces between us.

As the founder of DramaLlama and a YouTube creator known for honest, heart-led commentary, Shawn creates content that blends emotional realism, mental health insight, and a deep love for queer connection. His debut novella, Typing…, brings together all of those threads in a slow-burn digital romance about what we say (and don’t) through screens.

Across books, platforms, and video, Shawn’s work is grounded in one mission: helping people feel a little less alone and a little more seen.
