Todd Lyons

Todd Lyons is a Canadian writer, podcast producer, and former radio broadcaster whose working life has taken him from the airwaves to the public service, with a few existential detours along the way. His work blends dry humour, lived experience, and the occasional deeply personal or deeply escapist story.

He’s the author of You Tried: A Deadbeat’s Guide to Self-Actualization (originally drafted in 2006 and later updated for readers with deeper eye bags and lower expectations), You Seemed Fine: A Guide to Functioning (Sort of), as well as Chrysogon’s Coterie, Beneath the Silver Spire, Wazo the Wildcard, and Nightmare Voyager.

Todd has also produced too many podcast series, including Read Me Somewhere, Indigenous Perspectives: Stories from Indigenous Public Servants, and Toddcast, with Todd Lyons—a name he did check first, only to be algorithmically smothered by dozens of Toddcasts that came after.

He holds a Master of Social Work and is a Certified Privacy Professional (CIPP/C). He drinks more tea than is strictly reasonable and lives in Ottawa, where he is usually working on too many things at once and regretting none of them.
