Hi, I’m Dave —better known as Pappy to friends and loved ones. Thanks for stopping by my author page and for your support!

I’ve always been a bit of a closet nerd, with a love for puzzle books and a knack for problem-solving. I’m not much of an artist, but I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of figuring things out. That passion led me to explore creating my own Sudoku books. After doing some research, I discovered the KDP platform and decided to give it a shot. I started with some free online software, crafted my first Sudoku grid, and thought, “Why not try making a book and selling it on Amazon?”

Well, to be honest, my first title didn’t turn out great—it was a bit of a mess, and I even misspelled “Sudoku” when I published it! But that didn’t stop me. I branched out into creating variety puzzle books, children’s activity books, word searches, cryptograms, crosswords, and even coloring books. As my collection grew, I decided to put all my books in one place, and that’s how Pappy’s Puzzle Books was born—complete with its own logo and brand merchandise.

Since starting this journey in the fall of 2022, it’s been an incredibly fun and rewarding experience. With over 250 book titles now available, ranging from puzzles for kids to brain-teasers for adults, there’s something for every puzzler out there. My goal is to continue creating quality puzzle books at competitive prices for as long as I have ideas and passion to share.
