Marie D'Amico

Marie was born and raised in a large family in Boston, Massachusetts.

Her last name reveals Italian origins, and her grandparents moved from Palermo, Sicily to the USA after the birth of her father, Salvatore, in the 1930s.

From a young age, she learned the importance of healthy, homemade cooking from her mother and grandmother, who were both skilled in the traditional Italian culinary arts.

Marie inherited her family's love of food and, after completing culinary school, went on to work in various restaurants and catering companies. However, she always felt a strong desire to share her passion for healthy, Mediterranean-style cooking with a wider audience.

In her mid-40s, Marie decided to take the leap and write her own cookbook, focusing on the flavorful, nutrient-rich dishes of her heritage.

She now shares her passion about Mediterranean food and eating with her readers in her best-selling "The Ultimate Mediterranean Cookbook."
