James G. Carlson

James G. Carlson is an award-winning author of horror, science fiction, and dark fantasy. His short stories have appeared in various anthologies from small presses. He has released three collections of dark fiction, Seven Exhumations, The Ever-Descending Staircase, and Underwater Typewriter & Other Tales, as well as three novellas, The Legion Machine, Midnight in the City of the Carrion Kid (nominated for a Splatterpunk Award), and Red Falls. In 2023, he collaborated on a project with fellow author Michael R. Collins, Miracles for Masochists. To start 2024, he released a new novel, The Eleventh Door, on Gloom House Publishing. Also in 2024, a book James edited, We're Here: An Anthology of LGBTQ+ Horror, won a Splatterpunk Award for Best Anthology. From the weird state of Pennsylvania, James drinks too much coffee and writes at a desk surrounded by animals and family in the mad zoo he calls home.
