I’m from Dublin, Ireland. I had an idea for a story and started writing notes. Before I knew it, the story seemed to take on a life of its own and I had completed a novel. I was encouraged by positive feedback I received from other writers, and beta readers.

The following are writer and beta reader comments which encouraged me to publish my novel;

I really like your MC. He is unassuming and a genuine "good egg." All of your characters are distinct, your MC has a very strong "voice" and the story is character driven. You have defined them very well and given a great insight into your MC.

Brilliant and very enjoyable! What WOULD you do if you won such a life-changing amount? it's very relatable and makes the reader ask this question- would they be like Jack or Billy? The best stories make us ask those slightly uncomfortable questions and the setting and characters you use to portray this are great.

The to-ing and fro-ing of his relationship is fabulous and a legitimate distraction from the big WI. Through clever use of his back story, you show us a man who cares more about people than money or stuff and in this day and age that is refreshing.

I think personally that you have something special here. Your story is refreshing, light-hearted and asks a big question. It is very character driven and is about doing good for the sake of doing good- not for pride or vanity and your characters set this up wonderfully.

Will there be another book? Maybe! I really enjoyed writing ‘The Man With The Mackintosh Overcoat.’ I'm thinking that Billy’s teenage daughter, Jane, might have a more prominent role, or maybe not.
