Lex McMillan is President Emeritus of Albright College in Reading, PA, where he served as president for 12 years. He retired in 2017 after serving for more than 37 years in administrative positions of increasingly broad scope and responsibilities at four liberal arts colleges in Virginia and Pennsylvania. An avid (bogey) golfer and enthusiastic bicyclist, he serves on several local nonprofit boards in the Gettysburg area, where he now lives. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from Washington and Lee University, his M.A. in English Literature from Georgia State University, and his doctorate from the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife, Dorothy, have five grown children and seven grandchildren.
