From a young age, I remember spending hours outside in the wilderness, creating new worlds and going on imagined adventures. At length, these adventures translated into a passion for writing stories. In fourth grade, I wrote my first series of stories. Each day, I would rush through my schoolwork so that once I had finished, I could sit at my desk and write. That passion only deepened as the years went by until I wrote my first real book during high school. This first book combined years of imaginings into a coherent story--one that I wrote for myself but longed to share with others. While I have many passions that have driven my life and my career, my passion for language transcends them all. Language is life. We live, we feel, we think through language. And good stories, whether fictitious or historical, are real and powerful because they tell us something about what it means to be human. It is my hope to be a teller of such stories.
