Brian Lawless

Brian Lawless is relatively new to being published in spite of being 'of an age'. He has dabbled in the last ten years or so with writing a couple of children's books and collaborating with a friend on 'It wasn't all work', a series of stories about amusing things that occurred whilst they were both working in the City of London.

The pandemic saw Brian taking up the virtual pen, (i.e. the laptop), again to create a small book of poetry entitled, 'The Gardener's Little Book Of Verse' comprised of twenty one poems on the subject with ten associated illustrations. He then attempted to have the book published by approaching a number of publishers. Imagine his delight when one of them actually liked it and agreed to publish it!

Having enjoyed a measure of success with the book, Brian was encouraged to continue with the result being his latest little book in the 'Little Book Of Verse' series, ' The Cat's (and Cat Lover's) Little Book Of Verse'. This follows exactly the same format as his first poetry book, twenty one poems and ten illustrations.

Aside from writing, Brian also partakes in Amateur Dramatics in Exeter and Exmouth in Devon as well as being a singer/guitarist who, because of the passage of time, now only plays acoustically for relatively small audiences of the 'senior' variety.

He sincerely hopes you enjoy his latest offering which is mostly about the past and current antics of his own, very aged, cat portrayed in a light hearted fashion.
