Rachel Helden

Rachel Helden is an artist from St. Louis, Missouri. Her work encourages softness in grief, the healing power of nature, and discovering joy through creativity.

In the Fall of 2021 she self-published her first book, "Free Way: An Adventure Through Loss", an illustrated memoir about a solo road trip she took through many national parks after going through a divorce and her father’s passing.

In 2022 Rachel released two free zines thanks to an artist grant from Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis; "Finding Harmony", about emotional healing after pregnancy loss, and "In The Waiting", an exploration for cancer patients and their loved ones. And in 2023 she started her first podcast, Grief Reset, available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Rachel studied Photography at School of Visual Arts (MFA), Ringling College of Art and Design (BFA), and completed a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Buzz. Her work experiences include Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, St. Louis Cardinals, and she was a Landis Artist-in-Residence at Yellowstone National Park with Yellowstone Forever.
