Suzette R. Scott

Hello, I am a retired Legal Assistant. I reside in Aurora, Colorado. Currently I have three novels published on KDP. I will be releasing my next book soon. My books are African American fiction. I like to write about African Americans going through different life experiences. The characters in my books are faced with many different obstacles. By the end of the books their lives are moving forward on positive paths, they learn from their experiences and are on the way to making better choices. Some of the things they go through are part of the African American experience. Most of the situations they find themselves in are the results of experiences and challenges that all people go through. In my writing I try to show insight as to what motivates my characters and what leads them to where they are in their lives. My main goal is to give my readers a memorable and enjoyable experience. My books reflect the diverse world we live in. I have several ideas for more books. Being a novelist has been a long-time dream of mine. I have been an avid reader since childhood. Some of my favorite authors are James Baldwin, Alice Walker, Terry McMillan, Toni Morrison, Mary Monroe, Lorraine Hansberry, Langston Hughes, Pearl Buck, Sydney Sheldon, Jackie Collins, Roberta Kagan, and Leo Tolstoy. There are many more. I read mostly fiction. It does not matter what genre a book is in as long as it is a good story. I like to hear from my readers.
