Prof Gloria Moss is an avid researcher, with interests spanning History, Literature, Management, Marketing and the Social Sciences more broadly. So her publications span these fields and bring new information and new ways of looking at things into the public domain.

Her latest book 'Light Bulb Moments and the Power of Critical Thinking: Insights from Inquiring Minds and Literary Heroes' alerts us to the importance of Critical Thinking, a skill at the heart of understanding the truth. Einstein directed us to 'Question Everything' and Jung that ''The ability to ask questions is the greatest resource in learning the truth’. So, you can read the accounts of 24 inquiring minds and see the truths that emerge from their thinking. They may take you far from received wisdom but whoever has said that the status quo should have the last word? Civilisation would be stuck and would not develop.

The book goes further in seeing what makes these 24 thinkers tick and finds that the personal attributes and triggers that sparked their journey are similar to those that inspired the literary heroes of '1984', 'Brave New World' and 'Fahrenheit 451'. See if you share these characteristics too. And there is more information too - on the special personality type of these brave thinkers. All revealed in the final chapter.......

So, we are the poorer without Critical Thinking and for some reason, this skills is largely overlooked in school and university curricula. Join our campaign in the new year to promote Critical Thinking and find updates at Truth University - www.truthuniversity.co.uk, the home of Critical Thinking.
