Aditya Arya

Dr Aditya Arya is currently working as a scientist at National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR), New Delhi. Previously he has earned his PhD degree in Nanomedicine from Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DRDO), where he studied about various biological applications of custom-designed redox-nanozyme based on cerium oxide. He has completed his Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University with specialization in biochemical technology. Besides his routine academic achievements, he has been trained in various reputed organizations such as European molecular biology laboratory, EMBL, Heidelberg, (Germany); Charte University, Berlin, Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Hinxton (UK) and European Molecular Biology Origination, Heidelberg (Germany). He has also successfully completed distance learning certificate courses in Biochemistry from Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Arya has over a decade of research and teaching experience. He has published more than 50 research papers in peer-reviewed journals with over 600 citations. He has also authored 10+ books and 10+ chapters with national and international publishers. He is an active member of various scientific societies such as the society for free radical biology and medicine (USA), European society of nanomedicine etc. His current research interest is in the field of redox biology development of computational models of redox systems. He has also been involved in pedagogy improvement in biochemistry and published several studies related to biochemical education. Dr Arya has been conferred with several research fellowships, grants and awards from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), European molecular biology Organization (EMBO), International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), and Society for free radical biology and medicine (SFRBM). Dr Arya is a passionate biochemistry teacher and appreciated for his outstanding innovation in teaching methods for biochemistry with illustrations, analogies and excellent student interaction. He has been a prominent speaker at the various national and international platform. He also severed as a reviewer for various peer-reviewed research journals and editor of books.
