Debbie Dufek

​Debbie is an author, a conference and retreat speaker, an inspirational storyteller, and an AWSA Writing and Speaking Coach, receiving her training from Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA). She coaches women, both seasoned and beginners. Deb is also a podcaster, and enjoys hosting her weekly podcast, The Women Behind the Words, where she interviews writers and speakers, getting a peek at the hearts and lives of our favorite writers and speakers. She says her podcast is definitely her "sweet spot".

Her first book, Holy Interruptions: When God Taps You on the Shoulder, was released in October 2022, by Bold Vision Books, Friendswood, Texas. She's so grateful for the team at BVB and recommends them highly and is especially grateful to Karen Porter, her mentor and writing coach.

It is Deb's joy to encourage each other to “live deliberately,” living our lives for what matters to Jesus. She's a firm believer that our stories matter and Jesus will use our stories to change the course of history, which will affect the outcome of eternity, one heart at a time. Her favorite gift is the joy a having a grateful heart. Her latest journey with Jesus is the writing of her second book.

Debbie is grateful to be living in upstate New York, in the rambling 1840’s house where she raised her family together with her husband, Bob. They are surrounded by their seven children, twenty-two grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren most of who live nearby.
