Anna Brees

Anna Brees worked as a BBC and ITV journalist for 10 years, but in 2017 was drawn to teaching others professional broadcast skills - rather than returning to the newsroom.

"I was offered a full-time job back at the BBC but turned it down. When I saw the power we all had to film, edit and publish on our mobiles phones, I realised my new purpose in life was to mobilise many voices not just front a few."

Anna began her training business in September 2017 and has since trained thousands of students from corporate clients such as Admiral, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the Professional Golf Association and Public Health Wales to citizen journalists, whistle-blowers and victims of child sexual abuse.

"My passion and focus is training, rather than be the voice, I want to educate and inspire the new voices of the future."

"This will lead to a more democratic and authentic media that feels like more like "us" where we stop getting angry watching the news, and feel yes - that looks and sounds a bit more like me."
