Aney has been an artist since she was a child. When she started college, she was heavy into pencil drawing and painting. As life got more complicated, her art trailed off and she stopped drawing.
Then, in 2016, she started wood burning. Aney was immediately hooked and has been ever since. She burns abstracts, line art, portraits and patterns. And after years of burning, she still loves it.
Aney created Pyrocrafters in 2016 and began sharing and teaching her wood burning techniques on YouTube. Everything from pyrography equipment to shading tutorials. She loves to share her work and how she creates.
Her love of teaching spilled over into books. She now has two published works that teach pyrography for beginners. It's an addicting craft and she loves to connect with new wood burning artists through learning.
Aney continues to burn, teach and create from her pyro shop in Alabama, where she lives with her husband, daughter and two cats.
