H. Lamar Smith

H. Lamar Smith has served as senior pastor for 46 years, having pastored in Tennessee, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Alabama.

He also served as Executive Assistant to the District Superintendent on the Alabama North District Church of the Nazarene for five years.

Trevecca Nazarene University is his Alma Mater from which he received both the B.A. and M.A. degrees.

He has been a teacher of preachers, first in Nazarene Bible College Extension and later as teacher and Director of Alabama Nazarene School of Ministry. Many of his students have looked to him as mentor and confidant.

He speaks in local churches for revivals, interim pulpit supply and Faith-Promise services. He speaks in workshops and in spiritual retreats for pastors.

He and his wife Danner love to camp as well as spend time with their families. Together they have eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
