Leslie J Thompson

After a 25-year career as a successful freelance writer and entrepreneur, Leslie J. Thompson now uses her communication skills and passion for people to encourage and equip the body of Christ. As a speaker and author, she delivers a message of encouragement and hope centered on the truth of God’s unwavering goodness.

Leslie holds a master’s degree in Journalism from NYU and has written for numerous regional and national publications. She also published an award-winning lifestyle magazine from 1999–2003 and worked side by side with her husband, Craig Thompson, on several business ventures during their 14-year marriage. After Craig's death in 2018, Leslie shared openly about her grief and deep faith on her blog and social media. Through this experience and the continued prompting of the Holy Spirit, she chose to shift her focus from the professional world to full-time ministry.

Through her books and speaking engagements, Leslie shares her testimony in combination with the stories and promises in the Bible to point people to the hope we have in Jesus. Her desire is to help others not only persevere through hardship but embrace God’s blessings amid life’s storms. Leslie spent five years actively involved in prison ministry and has joined several mission trips to Honduras and Guatemala. She lives in a cozy suburb outside of Dallas, Texas, and dreams of moving to a happy homestead in the country one day.
