Danielle McDonough

Danielle is a former Division I and Professional athlete. She received her B.A. in Sociology from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, while on a full athletic scholarship for ice hockey. While at PC, Danielle helped lead the team to four consecutive league championships, made its inaugural debut in the NCAA tournament, and captained the team for the 2004-2005 season. Upon graduating, Danielle moved up to Ontario, Canada, where she played professionally in the NWHL for two years. After playing there, she moved overseas to Lugano, Switzerland where she played professionally for two years.

Returning home to Southern CA in the Spring of 2009, Danielle went back to school and obtained a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology, and began her own business in the winter of 2010, coaching individuals on the mental side of performance. She has coached numerous athletes who have gone on to receive their own scholarships; helped teams unite and go on to win championships; and has helped thousands rebuild their confidence, overcome the invisible barriers holding them back, and go on to achieve excellence both in sport---and in life. She has a passion for guiding teen athletes through the difficulties that come when their sport "becomes serious," and empower them to be able to self-generate happiness and self-worth, always.

On a personal note, Danielle still plays hockey in a men's league to this day. She met her husband playing. They settled in Yorba Linda, CA, and have two kids who they hope will love hockey as much as they do!
